Nestled on Rue Clément et Lucien Matheron in the heart of Goussainville, Café De La Poste is a charming and authentic local gem that redefines the café experience. This delightful spot, though modest in its offerings, captures the true essence of French café culture with an inviting atmosphere and heartfelt hospitality.
What makes Café De La Poste truly stand out is its warm, personal touch. While the café does not serve its own food, the welcoming team goes out of their way to ensure you enjoy the perfect coffee moment. As shared by Olivier Roy De Rives, the staff kindly suggested a nearby bakery to pick up fresh croissants or pain au chocolat and had his coffee ready and waiting upon his return—a gesture that embodies attentive, thoughtful service.
The owners, described by Hannah Booth as “lovely” and “very accommodating,” create more than just a coffee stop—they create connections. Their willingness to bridge language barriers with kindness and even provide a ride back to guests’ hotels speaks volumes about their genuine care and community spirit. This personal touch transforms a simple coffee break into a memorable experience.
Reviews consistently highlight the warmth and efficiency of the service. Daniel Héstiraní praises the café for its “very welcoming” atmosphere and impeccable, quick service, while Praba Haran emphasizes the rich flavors and “fantastic treat” in every cup, complemented by the loving care of the staff. The quality of the coffee here is a testament to their passion, making each sip rich, smooth, and satisfying.

I wanted a "Grand Creme" with a croissant ou baguette, but since they do not serve food, they kindly told me there was a bakery around the corner and they would prepare my coffee while I go get what I wanted. I ended up getting a croissant and a pain au chocolat, and sure enough, my coffee was waiting for me when I got back.
